And this is why it is soo annoying when people say... 'children aren't racist or can't be racist'.
Yes they can, yes they are. Children can be inherently cruel and usually are. Especially when that's all they are being fed. If a child constantly watches TV, then no doubt that child is being fed a daily diet of stereotype.
Just saw your message about the African dancer. Unfortunately I missed that post. A quick glance through previous posts has not helped, either. Could you point me in the right direction, please? Thanks!
Thanks for commenting on my blog and for the link in the blogroll.
On this video, I'm saddened by the kids' reactions but not surprised. Children have an uncanny ability to pick up on social cues adults and the media give them. Their opinions only reflect what they hear/see about people who wear turbans, black men and criminality, etc.
Well i believa all people are good by n nature, i think most of those kids automatically assocaited negative words to the faces that they were not familair with
Also they were using streotypes that someone has progtrammed into them
A very cute black chic who loves everything about fashion and beauty. I'm struggling through the ups and downs of being in my twenties. I am a recent graduate so I am doing everything on a really tight budget. That means no more Gucci or Louie Vuitton bags for now. I'll take a cat anyday over a dog.Travelling is my greatest love. I frequently discuss sex and how much I love a man with a average sized one. Mainly, this blog serves as a tool for me to get some things off my chest.

Indeed they learn young.
They've been socially programmed through many mediums.
We should be encouraging our children to use their intuition.
