I miss reading all of my favorite blogs but I am on vacation right now. Can you guess where I am.
1. Weed weed and more weed
2. Red light district
3. Mode of transportation is a bicycle.
I really love this place. Although if I was a guy and a weed head, I would like it so much more.
I think a few of my favorite bloggers(Coffee, Amadeo) would enjoy this place for different reasons, its a hedonist and boheamian paradise. I've visted a number of museams in addition to the red light district because one must have balance.
I will post a few photos when I return.
One more things
I thought the stories about women smoking ciagareets with their p.ussy were urban legend, but I saw with my own eyes tonight that it can be done.

Amsterdam, Amsterdam,Amsterdam- the devils own country. One must visit at least once in a lifetime. Please dont get carried away, you have to return here for your own sanity, and dont let anybody fool you, they all speak english.

I live in Amsterdam and have been a resident for 8 years - we locals only go down those roads to show our curious guests those places.
We are fascinated with the way tourists get caught up by the place, but really, it is hardly a twentieth of what the life of Amsterdam is.
With culture, museums, art, architecture, multi-national food, history and a melting-pot that mixes up the world in a very unique way - it could be an enlightening experience.
Far from being the devil's own country, the Dutch have a sense of pragmatism - we know people like drugs, sex and all sorts of vices - give them a place to do their stuff and regulate what they do.
Welcome to Amsterdam, enjoy your stay and keep off those space cakes - I am however, away in Berlin for Easter.
Hope you enjoy your stay. We lived in Holland for nearly 5 years and when anyone came to visit us they just wanted to smoke weed or whatever else they could get their hands on and to see the ladies in the windows.
It is something to see but remember you have to come home. Fantasy over.

I'm going to wager that you're in Amsterdam. I hope you're enjoying your trip. Europe is interesting indeed. I know that the hookers and the "coffee houses" are alluring to Americans, but make sure you check out the museums there! Hedonistic at times, but geekish during others, I am.
I know that Van Gogh spent a great deal of time in Amsterdam and there's a museum there dedicated, solely to his work.
If you have the time, I'd hop a train (I think you can catch a 2 hour ride) to Antwerp. Which is in Belgium.
Have fun and enjoy your trip! You seemed in need of a long overdue vacay.
