Model of the month

March's model of the month is Mimi Roche. She is twenty three and five feet ten inches tall. She won a local model search and was then sent to New York to sink or swim with the big dogs. Before Channel Iman came on the scene she looked to be the girl who would take over Naomi's throne. I love for look, she is very waif/downtown/uptown looking. For more pictures of Mimi click here.

Another gorgeous model! I wish ANTM would take a hint and start casting girls like these again! I'm tired of seeing "to' up from the flo' up" girls on Top Model who need makeovers! Beauty should be natural.

golden silence is telling the truth!! i think tyra is just getting these uber regular looking chiks to make herself feel like the prettiest woman on the set!

i cant wait for her to go bak to the "classically beautiful" chiks

@nija femme fatale- I choose the model of the month based upon who seems to be an it of the moment(runway shows, high fashion magazines etc.).

@golden silence- I think the first season of top model had a group of true models in the making.
@confused-In the high fashion modeling world, natural is always better
@Afro Jamiaco- I think next months model may be Jamaican. I'm still trying to decide.

It definitely did. That's because no one heard of the show and didn't know what the outcome would be on it. Now that people know what's up, real working models avoid that show like the plague and go the traditional route towards signing with an agency. All Tyra does now is cast girls who have drama and sob stories to bring to the table.

There is a new show called "Models NYC" (it comes on Mondays at 11 PM on MSNBC) that chronicles a real-life agency, Q Models. So far, so good. I'll do a write-up on it in the future.

Hi, I am a talent scout in the Baltimore/Washington area and I am scouting for a new major network program...looking for new faces for acting and dancing (models ok) I'm using Pur Lounge in Baltimore and Fly Lounge in DC as lookout points. Look your best-dance your best... Personality is a must.
